WHAT ARE SCOTTISH RITE LODGE AMBASSADOR BOILERPLATES?
In lieu of Lodge Ambassadors merely relaying upcoming fundraisers or dates for Reunions at their individual Lodge meetings, we’ve begun compiling what we’re calling Scottish Rite “Boilerplates,” a series of 1-2 minute short talks on the Scottish Rite that can be used by Lodge Ambassadors over the course of a Masonic year to talk about aspects of Scottish Rite Freemasonry.
You may read a boilerplate verbatim or simply utilize it as a tool for a more extemporaneous approach – the choice is up to you!
Topics included in this booklet are:
· The Ring of the Scottish Rite
· The University of Freemasonry
· Caps of the Scottish Rite
· Scottish Ain’t Necessarily from Scotland!
· What’s a Reunion?
· Who Is This Albert Pike Guy?
· “The Tyler’s Place” Podcast
· RiteCare Scottish Rite Childhood Language Program
· Scottish Rite Research Society
· Scottish Rite Scholarship
· Scottish Rite Foundation National Disaster Relief
· The House of the Temple
If you have a topic you believe would make a good Scottish Rite Boilerplate, please let Bro. Wes Latchford, 32nd degree, know at ecclesxii@gmail.com or 757-831-2438.
Finally, we are all Scottish Rite Ambassadors and membership recruiters! Please encourage fellow Brothers of the Valley and those Master Masons in individual Lodges to come join us and see a little of what Scottish Rite Freemasonry has to offer in their pursuit of more Light. Also, give some thought to service opportunities, learning programs, and other activities your Valley could do that relay the values of the Scottish Rite for Brother Masons – whether they are a 32o Scottish Rite Freemason or not.
